We'll wake up tomorrow to news about whether our children passed court or not. And it is so easy to get worried and stressed as I think about it! But God has been reminding me this week that He is in control, and my anxiety would be a symptom of a lack of trust in Him.
Our God is sovereign over all things. He knows every detail of our lives and he is intimately involved. He will do what is right.
Lamentations 3:22-26 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in Him." The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Psalm 16:8-9, 11 I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. You make known to me the paths of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
