We've had some exciting news -- our family was selected by a birth mother that's due with a baby girl in late August! That's THIS month! We were able to talk with the birth mother through the agency, and it was a wonderful, comfortable conversation. There are a couple of things that still need to be worked through, so only time will tell if this is what the Lord has determined for us. But the birth mother feels very certain about her adoption plan and about our family. It's a real joy to hear about the ways our agency has been showing her the love of Christ and providing help for her. We'd be so grateful for your prayers for her, the baby and our family in the coming weeks in particular.
We had hoped to finish this adoption without fundraisers, but we are unexpectedly short at the end because there are extra costs related to the birth mother's situation that we weren't anticipating.
